1. Achara Beach

This beach is an enchantress of other beaches in Sindhudurg. In magnificent geographic combination the beautiful stretch of pristine shiny sand has given rise to equally alluring shallow blue water estuary that follows meandering course amidst ‘Jamdul Island’. Estuary is paradise for swimmers, sunbathers and dolphin watchers.

2. Anjarle Beach

It is one of the less crowded beaches. This Beach is known for its Turtle festival, you can witness the turtle hatching every year from February to May. Turtle nesting here is a part of conservation of the species. That one place in Konkan that gives the peace & silence one needs and a feel of the village, one always craves for. 3. Aravali Beach

The beach has a sandy path leading up to it and is surrounded by green hills from three sides. The waters are crystal clear and calm which makes it safe for playing around or swimming. 8. Guhagar Beach

Very less crowdy though equipped with beachside hotels makes it easier for a traveller. The beach is clean, neat & quiet. For a sunset view, one can visit the nearest hilltop in the evening. 20. Velas Beach

Velas Beach is a popular eco-tourism site on the Konkan coast, which is at the beginning of the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Every year, in the quaint sea-side village of Velas, the beach hosts to thousands of Olive Ridley turtles, who come here to lay their eggs. As the sun dips into the sea, setting alight the waters, and darkness descends, watching the turtles start their first journey towards the sea is a fascinating experience. The village hosts an annual Turtle Festival from February to May every year when people come together with conservationists and nature enthusiasts to raise awareness about the presence of turtles in the area. The hatching season lasts from February to April. While large stretches of India's coastline are home to the turtle; Velas Beach is said to be the most popular nesting site on the Konkan coast.

21. Velneshwar Beach

Coming to Velneshwar is almost like finding a hidden cove of treasure that is full of natural beauty! The beach is a small cave sheltered by coconut and palm trees. Bordered by the beaches of Guhagar and Ganpatipule, it is slowly becoming one of the most preferred beaches in Konkan.

Important Note:

Many of the beaches are dangerous for swimming and proper care should be taken while entering the water. Please listen to the local people if they warn you of dangerous waters as many people have drowned on these beaches.
